A Neon-Lit Winter Playground at Coal Drops Yard

The Challenge

To create an electrifying winter experience that combines neon-lit curling lanes, après-ski ambiance, and seasonal indulgence, making Club Curling a must-visit festive attraction at Coal Drops Yard.

Insight and Ambition

Winter in London calls for immersive experiences that brighten the season. Club Curling returned to Coal Drops Yard with a bold, neon-lit makeover, transforming six curling lanes into a vibrant playground designed by God’s Own Junkyard. The goal was to blend sport, social connection, and winter magic, offering visitors a dynamic mix of competitive fun and après-ski relaxation. Paired with indulgent winter bites and drinks from Morty & Bob’s, the activation provided the perfect setting for festive get-togethers.

Highlights

  • A glowing, immersive experience designed by God’s Own Junkyard, bringing energy and colour to the game.

  • A cozy Club Curling bar, featuring a bespoke neon sign by Real Hackney Dave, inviting guests to linger and enjoy the atmosphere.

  • Seasonal treats from Morty & Bob’s, including Truffle Grilled Cheese, Parmesan Fries, Chestnut Manhattans, and Mulled Wine.

  • A portion of ticket sales supported local charities Global Generation and New Horizon Youth Centre.

Since November, thousands of visitors have curled, sipped, and soaked up the neon-lit energy of Club Curling.
